A few pictures hopefully of interest, from our trip to Switzerland in 1982 (sorry rather small photos) and my last job with band. Picture 1 - Waiting for the coach outside the hotel in Aubonne. Hopefully you will recognise a number of the faces - one of the organisers is Jean-Pierre Chavallier , he is in the centre of the middle picture, the bottom picture Richard Ogilvy/ Dave Caunt & Kevin Pitt. Picture 2 - Doing what we all like doing, visiting a vineyard and doing some tasting. Also the bottom picture with Brian Turner - we learnt he was chef - (only later did he become one of the Celebrity Chefs on TV) he was actually one of the organisers of the trip with Jean- Pierre Chavallier - Kings Brass of Switzerlnd. With Brian Grant/ Phil Thompson/ Rob Wallinger & Dave Caunt (on this trip he was deping for Gerry Brough. Really pleased however that he took over my seat when I left in 82 - it made leaving due to work easier). Picture 3 - messing about - Graham Chivers/ Richard Franklin/ Phil Thompson/ David Caunt/ Kevin Pitt/ Malc Teasdale & Brian Clarke. Of course what we all like doing on a tour - band practise - remember it was Granada coming up when we got back, and Keith had done an arrangement of Bernsteins Overture to Candide. In picture: Keith Wilkinson/ Dave Jordan/ Tony Saggers/ Paul Applegarth/ Graham Chivers/ Roy Hudson/ Ray Tucker/ Adrian Cooksey/ think it is David Bird. Cant recognise guy in red shirt, the chap 3rd from left - he was our solo horn before Graham and Ive forgotten his name. Picture 4 - just to prove I was there - and the other shows Malc, Dave & myself playing with a local band out there. Picture 5 - 10th July 1982 - my last job with the band, Norwich Union Gala day, at Norwich. Alec Head coaches - although not their best coach that day. Their best one had our name slotted in on the side - there were tables/ TV-Video & drink facilities. Picked up a baritone again June last year - it was like pulling on a favourite jumper, but maybe a bit thin on the elbows. Having been away from the brass scene for 30 years, so sad to learn only recently of the deaths of David Jones (a great sop player) and Dave Jordan.
