A few pointers of my thoughts, Ab exercises will not give you a flat stomach or help you lose belly fat not even 1000 per day. Cardio is not king, cardio exercise will burn calories and is a great way of keeping you active but it is Ill not burn fat, fat is only burned with a calorie deficit (burning more calories than you eat). Weight lifting will not make you bulky unless you are eating to get bulky, weight training burns calories like cardio but with the added bonus of increasing muscle tone and as you burn fat it will give you a more defined and toned body where as cardio will give you a smaller version of you but without the tone everybody desires. Carbs are not the enemy, our bodies need carbohydrates for energy and optimal function however there are better choices of carbs you can choose, always opt for wholemeal versions, pulses and vegtables. Carbohydrates wont make you fat excess calories make you fat. Fruit is considered a free food, fruit is loaded with sugar and whilst it has numerous health benefits it does not mean you can consume it freely, limit yourself to one or two portions of fruit per day berries are great option in the morning. A piece of fruit post workout is always a good option aswell. Low fat foods are good, just because food is low in fat doesnt mean its better for you it is usually loaded with sugar and other additives. Cereal bars are a great snack, these are too loaded with sugar And will not be beneficial if trying to drop bodyfat, sone bars out there are advertised as healthy but really the same as a regular chocolate bar. Opt for hone made version or grab some nuts or some chopped fresh veggies or Greek yoghurt.
