A few seeds of wisdom, Cultivate your garden!... Wisdom is the practical aim of philosophy. But it is outdated. Clearly, wisdom has very few friends. Even philosophy is not so sure about wisdom. The wisest of men refused the title and inaugurated this (false?) philosophic modesty that involves saying one is only a lover or friend of wisdom, differentiating himself from those early Greek philosophers who did not hesitate to call themselves (or to have themselves called) sopher-sages. Wisdom, even if it is taken into consideration, is something sought after rather than possessed. But why is it considered so difficult, if not impossible, for human beings to achieve? But why philosophy? This is how modesty can point the way on the path to wisdom. It seems to be true that the exercise of philosophy, teaching us to be clear about the world and about ourselves, can teach us moderation and measure and thus also be the beginning of wisdom. If the greatest philosophers hesitated to call themselves sages, what can be said about us modest apprentices? What counts, in truth, is not the label or the rank one is given it is the path actually taken. but it means something like a serious examination of what really should count in life, something a bit like a pilgrimage to the source after all. Its up to you to take it form here. A living practice of philosophy always includes a personal side in addition. Over and above the academic success that you can legitimately seek, life is waiting for you with its pitfalls and its joys. Why not go out to meet it with a bit a philosophy? If you think I may be right, you will sow these few seeds of wisdom and they will blossom as if they were in your own secret garden. Um, Why dont Jaimie Alexander put her plant in her own garden, so not at Peter Facinellis home. I believe Peter already put his plants in his own garden at his home. I knew Jaimie is being STILL lazy to not put her plants or seeds in her own garden. I love to put plants or seeds in the garden, so I had been grew up with some of my family WHO have own biggest lands, garden, animals, and farm.
