A few storms are possible this evening and some could become strong to severe. Damaging winds and hail are the primary threats. However much of western Kentucky is capped and storms will have a hard time breaking through. After this evening, it will get really muggy. While heat in the South during August is common, the upcoming weather pattern may deliver some of the hottest weather of this summer during the last couple of weeks of August. A zone of high pressure is forecast to build at most levels of the atmosphere, which will gradually decrease the number of showers and thunderstorms and reduce cloud cover. Heat indexes could hit the triple digits...definitely uncomfortable. This heat wave will probably last about 10 to 12 days then...cooling starts. A Thought; You must walk your own path. Others may walk along with you at times, but no one can walk it for you. Just because all feels lost today, doesnt mean you wont find your way tomorrow. Every life goes through a storm every now and then. Live for the moment when the clouds part and the sun shines in to chase away the darkness. As for me, I will press on, and though contrary winds may blow strong in my face, yet I will go forward and never turn back. Never give up and trust the Creator.
