A few weeks ago on a Sunday morning, I was at The Second City getting ready for the Sunday morning shows that I produce there. I noticed a random family (man, woman, adolescent daughter) wandering around, looking confused, so I asked them whether they needed help. They said yes, and asked me about some specific event. I did not know anything about the event, but told them Id help them find out. I escorted them to various points in the building, and asked various staffers about the event. The building is a labyrinth, so this took a long time, and even involved going back outside at one point to a different entrance. When the third staffer I asked said he did not know, the woman said to her husband and daughter, Sheesh, were gettin the run-around. Wha???!!! It took all of my self-control to not retort, and to continue leading this family around and asking staffers, until we finally located what they were looking for. This run-around made me late for my prep for my shows. I cant stand people sometimes.
