A few years ago my sister was involved in a relatively serious car crash on the Dukes Highway over the Easter long weekend. The crash was caused by someone who was in such a hurry, they drove their car into oncoming traffic to overtake a slower vehicle, causing my sister to have to violently swerve off the road into a ditch. The other party involved continued on their presumably very important way without hesitation. My sister has suffered permanent injuries. Much to my dismay I am seeing equally as idiotic and reckless behaviour on the roads this Easter. I plead to you all to stay stuck behind the truck just a little longer until you get to a designated over taking lane. Dont try to get so close to the vehicle in front of you that you can read their number plate. Take decent breaks. Dont dare drink and drive, and take your time. Be safe. Your holiday will be there waiting.
