A friend of ours told us about the new restaurant La Guera Regia in Port Lavaca, so my wife and gave it a try on Tuesday. Let me start by saying that we were greeted by the friendly staff when we walked in and immediately given a table. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was excellent. Definitely home style cooking. They even have home made flour and corn tortillas. That has become a rare thing in many Mexican restaurants these days. I had the beef enchiladas and my wife had the beef fajitas. Mine was served piping hot and more food on my plate than I could finish. My wifes fajitas came out sizzling and were delish. And the salsa was perfect. Not too hot or too weak...and spiced just right. I have recommended this place to all my friends and family and now am recommending to you. What are you waiting for? Go!
