A girl or young woman is coerced into early marriage every three seconds. Some estimates show that girls make up as much as 70% of all out-of-school youth, even though a woman’s wages are estimated to rise by 20% for every additional year of school past fourth grade. These are just two of the many reasons Children International offers programs that empower girls to take control of their futures and teaches them critical life skills.
