A good conversation for everyone... Involves my 5.5 box on michiganantlerart and some options you can request.. I say no special request... But I am open to any request if you send an email... Question.......... I ordered the 3-piece medium split antlers from you a short while ago. I have 3 huskies, and they really loved these. They especially seemed to favor the marrow, but they also enjoyed the exterior antler. From your experience, is it best to give them a non-split antler to make them work to get at the marrow, or not? Answer.......Your question is a very typical question. One that I get almost daily. I respond this way.... :) You, like most folks, are lucky you have a dog that enjoys the entire SPLIT antler... and likewise they do chew through them faster... IE... the more inner core exposed the more ENJOYABILITY, and the less LASTABILITY. To stretch the chewing time... you can take a 1/2 step up and go with MEDIUM INNER CORE WHOLE antlers versus the splits... . with a medium inner core WHOLE antler, they still get A LOT of marrow but they have to work a bit more at it... best of both worlds for you and your dog :) And of course, they are also harder inner core marrow splits... So you could even request that I send medium inner core antler that are whole and some harder marrow splits.. As far as discounts and payment.. I do the email thing quite often for credit cards, but can only take a credit card in person. And the BEST DEAL... is on my website under Facebook and special tab.. I have a 5.5 box that I usually fill to 6 pounds for $107 out the door............ that is a STEAL...... a lot of pet stores buy that box to resell in-house... As far as number of antlers.... if you need the medium core in the MEDIUM SIZE expect at least 3 in pound. And of course, with getting 6 pounds... you will get over 20 antlers.... if you need large ones... expect at least 2 in pound. you can also mix the box with different varieties of antler... ie medium wholes and splits in hard or medium or both...or small, mediums, larges, deer, elk, etc......just drop me an email or attach a note with payment with how you want your mix :)
