A great overlooked 45, especially notable for Marvins performance in the first verse. Id put it up against any vocal he ever cut. He was at the top of his game here, and his instrument had few peers. I love Diana - LOVE Diana - but I call em like I see em, and she phones this one in. Shes a pro, and does the gig better than 99.9% of us ever could, but man, Marvin sounds like hes desperate to make you FEEL every breath, as though it might be the most important thing he would ever get to say to you. Theres no acting here - he believes every word. Makes me believe it too.
