A great scholar, lawyer and politician who is rather an inspiration for people who is looked down upon by fellow country men in India. Being a lower caste by birth, in a caste ridden society such as india, his merit alone helped him to become the chairman of drafting committee of the constitution of the worlds largest democracy. He fought against social evils and try to uplift the life of untouchables and backward classes. But finally when the hindu code bill, which was dearer to him, was passed in lok sabha after almost 10 years of efforts by Nehru; he had to be a mere spectator than a participator. Without the bill my mother, sister,daughter or wife would have only legally inherited a maximum of one eighth of their ancestral property, would not have been legally allowed to marry out of caste, would not have been legally allowed for a divorce on any grounds, would have to silently suffer polygamy by husband and much more. Such a great contributor to the nation. Its him and merits of now hated Nehruvian politics which changed the life of women and backward classes of India. Baba saheb Ambedkar.
