A home without an assault rifle is like a fish without a bicycle. And, based on 22 months of combat pay, I dont think 90% of SOLDIERS should have one, either. I find the arguments to the contrary self-serving, anecdotal, and totally bereft of a Constitutional foundation.If you just wanna waste money on guns, ammo,blowing shit up, and getting your ya-yas off JUST SAY SO...been there, done that, and had a blast. Still enjoy it, but I dont delude my self with scholarly musings on the Founders intent, nor do I hold to the illusion that guns make me safer. And my brain still functions well enough to recognize business-lobby bullshit steeped in phony patriotism and fear-mongering when I smell it.
