A humanitarian plea from my friend Juliet Schwartz-Martinez: ATTENTION CHRISTIANS: If you tithe, (or even if you dont) please consider the following - A young Christian man (actually, he is still a boy at the age of 21) who is quite dear to me, has faced nothing but evil his entire life. He lives in the field of operations where Boko Harm has been slaughtering Christians - and now this? I cant imagine the things that Igho Jacko has faced throughout his twenty-one years, but to go to bed at night knowing that Boko Haram could strike at any time? How could anyone live like that without going mad? Living like that is unthinkable, But now the biggest outbreak of the EBOLA viris in history is occuring all around him. It is beyond my understanding how anyone could deal with all of the horrors which Igho has faced his entire life without going mad, yet he has not. He is incredibly brave. However, even if he survives this (Im sorry for being so blunt, Igho) I fear for him, terribly. His current plan is to go to another village where he has friends. He is not safe anywhere in Nigeria. I realise that there is nowhere on earth that is safe, but he is presently in THE most dangerous place on earth. Once we have him farther away from the threat of EBOLA, were going to concentrate on getting him to South Africa, where he has friends, and can hopefully resume his studies. Can you imagine going to school and trying to study under such circumstances? Mind you, our long term plan is to bring him to the West, because I believe that he will be very helpful with the cause. My boyfriend and I really love Igho, and we know that youre going to love him, too. As Christians, we know that there is no such thing as a coincidence, so clearly our Lord brought this young man into our lives for a reason. This is the Scripture that the Holy Spirit revealed to me: For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. If you are interested in joining us and would like to help, please contact me and I will give you his information, or you can send him a message (although that might make him uncomfortable.) He will be leaving soon, thanks to my boyfriend. Igho will keep me apprised of his location, so even if you decide to help him in a few days (or longer) I will have the information so you can send him money via Western Union. Even if you can only send ten or fifteen dollars, if everybody did that it would be really helpful. I know that the Lord has big plans for Igho, whom I believe will be a wonderful addition to the Counter Jihad Movement. Please pray about this, and act. Igho faithfully went to church every Sunday, knowing that he might not make it home. He has shown amazing courage and faith under fire, and I also know that all of it, everything, happens for a reason... Im grateful that Yah brought him into our lives, and I pray that you will consider making him part of your life, too. Thank you for hearing me out. May God bless you and keep you from harm.
