A hypothetical view of two operational USAF B-70B Valkyries, each carrying AGM-48A (GAM-87A) Skybolts on underwing pylons. Unfortunately, the North American Rockwell Mach 3+ capable XB-70 program never reached operational status. Additionally, the Douglas Skybolt hypersonic (Mach 12.4) air-launched ballistic missile program was also abruptly cancelled, to the dismay of the British government.
