A interesting day! So we started today with the boys NOT going off to the yurt for school and play because their wonderful sitter / teacher / carer Kristin Hylton is having some time off as her own prospective baby made a announcement that the time had come and there may well be a very loved new baby in the world soon 😄 so Liisa I and the twins head off to move the buffalo into a new pasture - tick. Then off to the nursery to bottle feed 2 of the calves, shock horror😁 one dead only 7 months old! Fortunately the boys living in a farm are ok about dead things and Liisa Wallace talked them through things while I called the vet and arranged to take the animal for a autopsy. ............ And watched the buffalo herd we had just moved escape and run off into the woods the other side the road on someone elses land. Friends needed for round up - Mark Holder Robyn Kennedy Holder David Pleasants and the animal control officer were helping in minutes THANKYOU !! We got the all back eventually, with only one pulled muscle in Liisa wallaces back. The holders further excelled themselves by entertaining the twins while I did a 3.5 hour drive for the autopsy and Liisa went to get her back fixed up. I got back and walked the property boundary with the boys (read climb those guys were amazing) to give Liisa a further break then I cooked salmon for dinner. I sat down and decided I didnt need my 20 minutes on the rowing machine because I have walked over 5 miles today. Looking at my family relaxing this evening I appreciate the fact that I am blessed with a amazing family and amazing friends.
