A large setback for liberty in the State of Ohio today. Republicans, scared that the same fate that befell Virginias Republican candidate awaits John Kasich, passed Senate Bill 193. SB193 throws the Libertarian, Green, and all other minor parties off the ballot in 2014, unless they can gather signatures to regain ballot status. Your choices as a voter have been damaged; if you disagree with the Ds or Rs, your opportunity for speech within the political system has been stymied. In the presence of guiding legislation, the petition drives would have been underway for the entirety of 2013...but the Republicans expect us to do this before the 2014 elections. Also, minor parties candidates will not be able to petition, and anyone affiliated with minor parties loses that affiliation. The COWARDS who voted for this legislation should be ashamed of themselves...hell, they SHOULD be tarred, feathered, and run out of town by their constituencies! Please call your Senator, Representatives, and the Governors office and let them know what you think...
