A lesson in humility last night. I watched as young men went - TopicsExpress

A lesson in humility last night. I watched as young men went headlong against overwhelming odds and held their heads high as they struggled valiantly against a determined foe who would not yield the field. The lesson wasnt in the loss, but in the dignity and poise of our team while the opposing stands were filled with continuous booing at every turn, and especially when one of our players was injured. They booed. What a wretched mindset. Bad enough that they booed our band last year when we visited their field and our band marched on the field, but to boo injured players show that win or no, those rotten souls are no champions by any measure. Id rather cheer our team through victory and defeat than to be a part of the swine that fouled our stadium last night. Haters gotta hate, as one of their poor fans said. Well, gee, its hard not to hate people who deserve it so, but its not hate, its a clear description of the failings of corrupt people grasping at victory at all costs. If you call that hate, get used to it, and I have nothing but pity for you.
