A little back story to this song: This ones a dedication to my dad. Back in 2004 i will never forget that Saturday, he got me out for a ride to go fix a cell-tower in another town called Choma. Half way there on an empty open road he said to me do you want to drive? hell, i was a boy who loved racing games and everything about cars, of course i wanted to drive haha. So i drove us to the next town and it was the best time of my life EVER because it was my first time driving. He had this one shirt he always wore on the weekends and he wore it this time too, it had the word KAMBI handwritten on it. I recall asking him what it meant while i drove and he told me hed gotten it as a gift from a friend while he was visiting in Arizona many years prior and that it translated FREE SPIRITS in the native Red Indian language. So when i composed this melody i had that very moment i shared with him in my mind and i will never ever forget that old fart. He was the most ridiculous and funniest yet most caring guy i ever had the time to spend with in this life time. Ill never forget you Ed, you big baboon. cheers!! KAMBI forever
