A little light for your day: Mom to eight-year old daughter as they are scurrying out to the car for the everyday ride to school: Im sorry sweetie. I cant get myself together. Im just having one of those days. Daughter: What does that mean? Mom: Well...I just dont feel like myself. I feel kind of unattractive and dowdy. Im just having...well...Im having an ugly day. Daughter: (no response) Both are now settled into the seats of the car. Mom: You know what I mean? You know, an ugly day...where ya just feel ugly? Daughter: (Long pause.) Nope. Never have and never will. I often remark that perspective comes with age...but on the other hand...perspective without age is pretty cool too.
