A little postal advice for anyone mailing their taxes ( and we postal workers really appreciate you using us versus doing the e file thing!)Dont assume 1 stamp is enough . , especially when sending to MaDOR . They require so much more paperwork, and a thick envelope=additional postage . If your letter size envelope is more than a 1/4 thick, it jumps up to a FLAT, not a letter , and starts at .98 , increasing by .21 for each additional ounce . A carrier brought one to me today that was being returned for postage and he was paying for it because the sender was away on vacation, not to return til after the 20th . Oh , this particular customer forgot to seal the envelope , too!!
