A little summary of my Stephen Colbert obsession/memories: Once upon a time, Nina hated politics. Then one night in 2006, her bestest friend & roomie, Cheri Bullock Schneider, said hey come watch this hilariously ironic political satire/comedy with me & Tatum! So for the rest of the summer, every night at 10:30pm, we snuggled in her bed with our feline & watched The Colbert Report laughing our heads off!! Then Nina grew up & decided politics wasnt so bad, and she moved to DC & worked on Capitol Hill; her whole career started off thanks to an unforgettable A&M internship! She missed the roomie trip to the show due to Texas 2nd district getting hit by Hurricane Ike, but a few years later, one magical day, Colbert was down the hall and the staff abandoned their posts entirely to wait outside for a photo!!! Greatest moment ever!!!! Having watched nearly every single show, he finds a way to make you laugh at the things about America that you despise, hate, cherish & love. Thank you Stephen Colbert and the whole show for so many years of laughter at the end of the day! It wont be the same without you! Cheers to an amazing last show!!!
