A lot of Christians are so afraid of what other people think of them that it hinders them from speaking up for Christ and being a light in this dark world. I remember being in a popular church not too far from where I live and while in church I started thinking of how absolutely merciful God had been to me that I literally went from weeping and crying to being cried...I was literally on the floor crying out to God and it felt sooo good but at the same time it hurt a too. When I finished crying out, what seemed to be every tear in my body, I looked around the church and so many people were noticeably uncomfortable. Because I understand where most people are it just made me so sad that people dont understand that God is drawn to a broken spirit and contrite heart. And honestly, most of the people in there could have used a healthy dose of weeping too ! If you are a Christian do not be embarrassed of being a follower of Christ because If youre ashamed of and deny Jesus on this side of Heaven He will be ashamed of and deny you before His Father on the other side. Consider this... Whosoever therefore shall confess me (Jesus) before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33
