A lot of people have been asking me lately how I got so lean and if I can help them. I love to help people and never mind at all to speak to people about this. Its become a passion of mine. I am even considering going back to school to become a nutritionist. In talking with more and more people I’ve begun to realize that almost everyone is looking for an easy or quick fix. They tell me they can’t do this or just aren’t going to do that for what ever reason they have convinced themselves of. This is the reason most people are not having the success they want. If you want to be lean, strong and overall in great shape, there is no magic pill or product you can take. Fad “diets” don’t work, at least for the long term. Starving yourself is about the worst thing you can do. So without getting to far into the technical jargon, if you want to achieve your fitness goals, including losing weight, it takes good old fashion hard work, dedication and most of all, patience . You have to be willing to put the time in at the gym and in the kitchen. There is no “Im still going to have rice with dinner. Or Im still going to drink my wine or beer on the weekends.” You can’t make excuses as to why you can’t work out. These are all essentially lies people tell themselves because of their fear of change and discomfort. These are the reasons people fail, get frustrated and give up. I spent the last I don’t know how many years struggling with my weight and tried every “diet” in the book. I looked to take the easy way out. I would “diet” during the week and “cheat” on the weekends. I would starve myself. I tried all kinds of pills that I saw on TV. This was a vicious cycle that only left me fluctuating in weight, frustrated and overall defeated. It wasn’t until I gave up on trying to take an easy way out, began to educate myself on both food and exercise, cut junk and booze out of my life and started working hard in the gym, that I began to really achieve my goals. Aside from this, patience is probably the most important part of all of this. You can’t build muscle and burn off body fat in the matter of a few weeks, a few months even. It takes time. My whole point here is this, if you want to transform yourself, then “diets” and 8 minute exercise dvd’s won’t do it. Its an entire lifestyle change. I encourage everyone to take the time to educate themselves on proper exercise and nutrition. Learn how certain foods react in your body and what food timing is. This is the key to success. This billion dollar a year diet industry wants to keep you confused!! The more uneducated we are, the more confused we are, the more money they make. Just food for thought.
