A lot of you have sent this story to me sort of as half-joking, sort of to gauge what Im thinking (I think!) -- look, my leggings are not pants mantra is something I do believe in. I cant stand leggings paired with short tops. I do go for modest dressing - Im not hiding that. But I wont dictate what people can and cannot wear. We do live in the U.S., after all. I do think, however, that butts should be covered and not exposed via leggings :) I also wish that public schools would have dress codes. Not to stop boys from leering at girls, but to make things so much easier for everyone. No worries about what to wear, no feeling not cool b/c of clothes, no troubles with yoga pants, leggings, shorts that hang down and expose the underwear. But that isnt going to happen either. So back to this school -- does banning leggings/yoga pants and skinny jeans make it seem like girls are being punished b/c of how they appear to boys? I hope thats not why they were banned. Because boys better be responsible for themselves. If they were banned just like spaghetti strap tops are banned and boy shorts that expose underwear are banned and such, then ok. wtop/?nid=893&sid=3592092
