A man needs 3 things to be faithful;passion,desire,and power.A good wife can surely give you the passion, you must have the desire,and God is your power. God must be the power because sin is more powerful than discipline and good intentions.No woman has the power to make a man be faithful, though she may inspire his passion to do so.A man must have the desire to be faithful,or the power to do so in God is worthless.The Holy Spirit is called the *Helper*,because He helps us to do what we have the desire to do,but lack the power.The reason the bible says,Be not bitter with the wife,is because bitterness kills the desire,weakening the connection to the power.Lusting also kills the desire,weakening the power.Because in a relationship a man looks at what he does,buys,and gives to feel secure and good about where he is in the relationship,a man may become resentful and then bitter when he feels disrespected or unappreciated.If he doesnt pray over his own heart and push past the negative feelings,his desire to be faithful will wither.Then he is in trouble.
