Making myself coffee in a quiet house and listening to cheesy 80s music as I enter a new year and and new stage of life. I love smelling the first day of Fall signaling the change of seasons and a fresh year of my life. I could list the many changes, tragedies and successes of the last few years but the truth is that life is life and I am living with a whole heart and feel profoundly loved. I am thankful for the strength and grace to face everyday and the courage to turn away from fear and embrace love, taking the risks that make life so abundant and inspiring. I am surrounded by deeply beautiful, strong hearted and interesting people that I love fully. The distance I have traveled to be exactly where I am today has been long and fraught with much darkness and pain. It has been worth facing all of it to become the person I am today. I look forward to blooming into the eccentric, wise, vivacious, complicated, deep pool of a woman I know waits for me. On this day I gift myself the ability to laugh easily, often and hardily. May my laughter be as full of life as my Grandma Milly!
