A man walked into a bank one day and requested for a loan of # 5000 for a month. The bank loan officer said the bank would require some sort of security or collateral for the loan, so the man hands over the keys of his new Mercedes Benz SL 500 which was parked on the street in front of the bank. The bank agreed to accept the car as a collateral for the loan. The banks Manager, loan officer and its staff all laughed at the man for using a Benz worth millions as a collateral for such a small loan saying he was ignorant. An employee of the bank drove the Benz into the banks underground garage and parked it there. One month later, the man returned to the bank, repaid the # 5000 and the interest which was #500. The loan officer who was now very curious said to him; Sir, we are very happy to do business with you. This transaction worked out nicely, but we are surprised. While you were away, we did a background check on you and found out that you are a millionaire. What surprises us is why you would bother to borrow #5000. The man laughed and calmly replied; Where else in this country can I park this my expensive Mercedes Benz car for one month for only #500 and expect it to be there when I return?
