A mebers story Hello i wanted to share my story.. Through out my pregnancy i was alone. I found out i was pregnant when i was 8 weeks along. It was my first pregnancy.Before that the doctor i was seeing had told me it would be hard for me to get pregnant. But i eventually did! For me my baby was a little miracle. I would go to check-ups and everything seemed to go fine. My 5 month ultrasound everything seemed okay according to my doctor. I was having a boy. I decided to name him Adrian. When i was close to my due date my doctor had send me to the hospital because i had my blood pressure high. Through out my pregnancy i had that. With the ultrasounds they did to me everything seemed fine. She send me again to see the growth of my baby because he was measuring small. That day i got the news that my baby had HLHS (hypoplastic left heart sundrome) i felt that my whole world had crushed down. I was 36 weeks my baby was all formed. In my head the only question i had was why? Why him?.and why didnt they diagnosed this earlier so i could be prepared...they transferred me to another hospital were they confirmed it was severe. That he wouldnt survive. He was fighting inside me to stay alive. It would have been impossible for him to take his first breath..my baby was born sleeping on october 11,2013. Its been 3 months. It hurts so much. And no mother should go through this. Because it truly hurts. I hope i get the strength i need to keep moving forward. Just like every one of you.
