A message from Bruce Brown, that I thought was worth repeating..... What makes your child want to participate in Marching Band? Why give up so much and work so hard? If you want an answer, ask them. Ask them why they spend all day at band camp putting their blood sweat and tears on the field. Ask your child what drives them towards perfection. Although this video was recorded for drum corps, it describes the same hard work your child goes through as a Fairfield High School Marching Band member to reach the level of perfection they want to achieve. Although the band is made of many individuals, they will come together and work as one cohesive unit. There is not a pill you can take or a button you can push to make it easy. Hard work and dedication are required for the Fairfield High School Marching Band to be successful. The reward for all of their hard work that is much greater than the scores given by a panel of judges is hearing you cheering from the stands. Support your child and attend every halftime performance and competition. Jump in and volunteer to help at every opportunity. You will not regret it. Bruce & Sara Brown
