A message from my Father: Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues, In the last 15 years, I have lost friends and family members to cancer. As many of you know firsthand, cancer is insidious, showing up without notice, leaving a path of sorr...ow and pain in its wake. Old or young, rich or poor, educated or illiterate, cancer does not discriminate. To that end, I am committed to raising money for cancer research by riding in the 2013 Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). To take part in this event I need to raise a minimum of $4,300 and am asking for your help in achieving this goal. I will be riding 192 miles over two days and I am training now to ride the first weekend in August when I will join 5,500 cyclists in the 34th PMC, an annual bike-a-thon that raises money for research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston. The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, $375 million since 1980 and $37 million last year alone! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure. And because every penny matters, 100 percent of your donation goes to DFCI. The PMC holds the promise of helping eradicate this disease which affects millions each year. The PMC is way for me to make a small contribution to a large cause while at the same time, honor the memory of my family members and friends who lost their life to this disease.
