A moment to ponder this sabbath day. A week ago an innocent man - TopicsExpress

A moment to ponder this sabbath day. A week ago an innocent man was killed by a wayward youth/gang member/ thug (whatever),, from that killing, the young man allegedly stole 300 dollars.. A family has lost a father, husband, uncle, cousin, mentor, and friend. I think of what this city does for its youth that is so much more than any amount that can be stolen or killed for.. A free Community College education, scholarships, an excellent representation and inspiration through the Boys and Girls clubs, The churches that pour their hearts and souls as well as their money into the youth of their church and others. Someone yesterday, while I was giving out food at Mustard Tree, needed gas or something,, that need was met right then and there... Meridian and surrounding areas are such giving people, with their time, money, talents and other gifts.. If the folks would let the good folks do what they do, there would be no need to TAKE and KILL.. I am preaching to the choir I know, but I guess the only reason they do these things is because it elevates them to a higher position in their gang,,, not because it is a better way of life.. Please continue to pray for our city and our youth.. There are so many good folks around.. My heart is sad for those who continue to make bad choices..and for those who have lost so much...
