A new session of Drawing from Life begins tonight. Life Drawing Session Schedule for Fall 2014 Tuesday Evenings, 6:00 – 8:30pm Sept. 2 – Oct. 21: 8 week session cost $65 Drop-ins: $12 per session ($10 for students and retireds) Location: Events Space (NW corner, 1st floor), Hot Shops Arts Center, 1301 Nicholas St., Omaha Now in its 8th year, Drawing from Life is an opportunity to draw professional live models in the company of other local artists. Note: this is NOT a class; there is no drawing instruction. Fellow attendees range from beginner to pro at drawing live models. Mediums used include pencil, conte, charcoal, pastel, and color pencils. With prior permission, you may use watercolors, acrylics and oils if you use a contained set-up like a Plein Air Box and no-odor turpentine (if you need more space than someone who is just drawing then you’ll have to take a back row seat at a large table.) Attendees are invited to submit at least one framed drawing to our Annual Drawing from Life Show in February at a Hot Shops Gallery.
