A night of reflection: After a long night... followed by an exhausting day watching Rylin LITERALLY bounce off the walls... We went to Rileys Christmas Cantata and listened to a beautiful display... While we were at the reception, I ran into Dr. Lynn... the doctor that delivered Rylin. We talked about how amazing that day was, how awesome she was when my family stressed me out, and how one day when we decide to have another, how excited I was that she is still practicing. And then I got home, and got the phone call that a man that ive known most of my life has passed away... my dads absolute best friend, hands down. Kenny was way too young... he wasnt too much older than my dad... that is a scary reality. All the talk of new life was so refreshing... and then within an hour, the reality of the end of life smacked me in the face... again. It happens all too often. And it made me realize... AGAIN... how incredibly blessed I am. It made me feel guilty for being frustrated with Rylin for being so wide open... Feel like I need to slow down and appreciate more. I dont know why it takes a tragedy, or a life lesson, to re-center me back to being humble... but irregardless, the lesson remains the same. APPRECIATE LIFE PEOPLE. Appreciate what you have... and more importantly appreciate WHO you have. I am so thankful to have the people that I have in my life... my family, my friends, my future in-laws, my wonderful fiance, and 2 of the best children I could ask for. LIfe is short... live it up!
