A pair of my discoveries are two Ukraine composers - Galina Grigorieva (living now in Estonia) and Victoria Poleva. I discovered Grigorieva in 1998 and Poleva a few years later. Over the years I have presented many their works including several World and American broadcast premieres. Both of these gifted composers have captured the attention of listeners of Classical Discoveries. These are only two of many women composers whose music have been aired on this program for the last 17 1/2 years.
