A parent asks our group: Im curious about peoples experience getting an SPD diagnosis and then getting an ADHD diagnosis on their kiddo. My son has had an SPD diagnosis for 2 years and recently had a cognitive neuropsych test that determined ADHD and ODD. I completely disagree with this. To me, he is textbook sensory. The dr.s are strongly encouraging ADHD meds. I only want to try them because if they dont work than in my mind that proves he is sensory. Thoughts?
