A parent asks our group: So this is my situation. I have this amazing little girl that has a rare chromosome deletion. She will be nine on the 22. She has spd autism global developmental delay.. At times she is very very hyper.. My husband couldnt deal with all of her needs and left me for another woman and Im pregnant. My mom keeps telling me I need to talk to her doctor about getting on meds for her hyper ness .. I dont want to be one of those parents that drug my kid because I dont want to deal with it. I absolutely love her giggling personality and I dont want to alter it and make her a zombie. But her teacher said that she thinks it may help her to focus more.. So what are some experiences that you parents have had?
