A plea from Edith B Fenton CHALLENGE – good Democracy (government of the People), therefore all elected candidates, political hopefuls, supporters, followers, agents and advisors should maintain and keep a high level of campaign, honest and respectful. Electorate, readers and listening ears have you noticed that the theme of upcoming election the focus has been on TEARING down individuals rather than meaningful discourse about plans, working relationship with you the voters on how together we would progress to the next stage of development of Montserrat. What are the objectives we can expect to see realised in the next 5 years? If Democratic Leadership style is what we are aiming towards in 2014 Elections then let us set goals and have vision of the future in dialogue and speech presentations. Without a display of confidence and/or commitment so that voters go out to vote (GOTV) on Election Day there is doubt as to priorities expected. “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge but a fool open his folly” Prov: 13. Fellow Montserratians and voters ‘the ball’s in your court’ to select the best team that will do the job.
