A political opinion poll is not different from any social research.Its credibility, validity, believability & general application is determined by following the scientific tenets: 1.research methodology; 2.research design; 3. sampling methods; 4. sample size; 5. representativenes of the target group; and 6. data entry as well as analysis. At professional level, we first critic and appraise the above research process than focus on the final results. Today, there are a lot of opinion polls floating in Zambia that fail the above scientific critieria as we approach the presidential elections this month except that our politicians and their supporters from all parties only celebrate the results when they favour them and insult them when then perform badly.This is were what was meant to be a good scientific product elsewhere becomes a political no-sense in Zambia.
