A positive observation from my recent car buying experience. In Fall 2007 I wanted a car that got over 30mpg on the highway and pickings were slim. There were 4, and only one that was fun-to-drive — the Honda Fit. It was a lovable buzz bomb, but short on comfort and quiet. Fast foreword to Fall 2014 — if you want a comfortable and quiet and fun-to-drive car approaching 40mpg on the highway you have many to pick from (Civic, Fit, Corolla, Cruze, Impreza, Golf, 3, Sonic, Rio, Fiesta, Focus, Accent, Elantra, etc). Its a changing world.
