A question from one of our fans, Mia ... I was re-reading Sorcerers/philosophers stone for something like the 80th time. I was wondering about the ending when Harry and Hermione were in the room with the potions, why was there enough of the correct potion for Harry left? Quirrel had already gone through. Also, why wouldnt Quirrel have rearanged the potions to make it seem like the real one was actually something else? He figured Harry would come after him (and Voldie wants Harry dead), why not kill him that way? Even if he thought someone else might come through besides Harry, I hardly think hes the merciful type. Even if these things are explained somehow, I feel like it shouldve been mentioned in the books.
