A quick hello from Iasi ( pronounced Yash) eastern Rumania. Arrived here earlier after 3 days in Moldova & TransDniester. Not a huge amount to see in terms of spectacular scenery or architecture but they have been pleasant places to visit.The food, beer and wine have been excellent ( so i am putting a few needed pounds) and the people have all been helpful, no hassles at all except for long border crossings. Hardly any other tourists here apart from ourselves. Did a 6 km light jog with Paul yesterday which drew some amusement from locals, not a common thing to do around here! Looking forward to car hire and giving trains and buses a miss for the next few days.
