A rant for the old fashioned way of dealing with bullying. Just read some 12 year old killed herself because she couldnt tolerate bullying. That is such a vanilla word. I know. I endured regularly getting beaten up by a group of three thugs when I was in grad school. My guardians would do nothing, the teacher of the one room school would do nothing, and I spent my life every day expecting another round of attacks. One day, I was trying to run away from them and I lost my mind. I KNOW what is a blind rage. I suddenly stopped and said to the biggest, We will take care of this right now. It took four people to get me off of him. He never again was inclined to bully me. The second wanted to fight it out with BB guns. I was hit once, and he was hit once, but I was ready to make a day long fight of it. He didnt realize that (having run out of bbs I was dropping rabbit pellets down the barrel and shooting- bad for distance, but hell from the range I got him) pain is painful, I guess, because he never again had any inclination to bully me. The third of the pack seemed for some reason not to want to face off with me. Dammit- humans are trash (ok call them sinners). But kids should be taught to defend themselves and allowed to do so. To be driven literally to ones own death because of the inhumanity of humans is immoral. I say give everyone a little plot of land with a little hill, and a gun. Them what wants to get along, fine. The rest, let them kill each other off and good riddance.
