A rare serious post I received a message on Facebook from someone wanting to know why I dont post about Israel/Gaza.the reference was because of my Jewish heritage. I am half Jewish on my fathers side. I am not religious once so ever. I love all my heritage that includes, Irish, English, Dutch, Russian and Polish. And the long and amazing history and culture of Judaism. I have chosen not to use Facebook as a platform for politics, religion, or other strong subject matter for the most part because I dont believe the medium is a good one for understanding of ones opposing views. I dont judge anyone who does use Facebook that way. I applaud those who take a stand and do not shy away from opposition. I just find it too difficult to communicate such topics on here. I have been reading as much as I can from as many sources that are available about the Israel/Gaza on going nightmare. It breaks my heart and I see no peaceful outcome on the horizon. Finding fair and balanced reporting is so difficult. Im amazed and concerned at what has become an incredible polarizing event. Im concerned by so many posts that are shared as fact and surely have not been investigated. On both sides. I love my friends. Be part of a solution if you have the means. Please look at both sides and keep digging. Support peace and love. Thats all I want to say on Facebook. Now back to posting about my kids, food, music and funny stuff that makes you laugh.
