A recap & reflection of my year... •Traveled to Iceland (and saw the Northern Lights!) with a new friend who has become one of my dearest ❤️ •Trained, trained and trained... I logged some serious hours of sweating and grunting and also shed some blood and tears. •Dialed in my nutrition big time! And learned so much in this area. •My best friend in the whole wide world had a baby!!! •Climbed. After a scary 44th place in the Open, I climbed to a 4th place Regional finish. •Moved from my first home in Boston (JP) to the history Beacon Hill. And again, made a new and very dear friend •Pre-signed as a professional athlete on the Boston Iron and was part of the first ever GRID season! Made 20 new friends that became family. ⚓️ •Managed (and still managing) a new injury - bone bruise in right knee. Dr. Green has been absolutely amazing in helping me understand what it means to physically and mentally be a professional athlete. •Took a spontaneous girls weekend to Acadia National Park! I admit... I am a creature of habit and routine BUT I live for these spontaneous moments! •Ran my first Spartan Race with 29 of my Reebok CrossFit Back Bay family members •Got stuck in a little bit of a rut. Felt as if my life was becoming mundane. Sometimes I feel as if I am two or maybe even three people in one body!? When I focus on one thing for a long time I get antsy and nervous that I am missing out on so much more. There are so many things I want to do and most of the time they seem to contradict each other! •Re-found my love for crafts and reading which somehow helped remind me to be grateful and live in the present. •Spent a week with my family. My most cherished time of the year. •Received some of the most amazing letters and messages that reminded me of why I am here and why I do what I do...
