A recognised apostle here in São Paulo was called to the stage to pray for the delegates of the conference. This was after I had delivered the closing message. Before he prayed, he started to prophesy over those on stage, evidently from the reaction of the recipients, with amazing accuracy. Then he turned his attention to me and called for me. As I made my way back to the stage, I saw him taking off his watch...and began to prophesy that God was telling him that it was my time... Now this would not have sat well with a traditional Chinese man...but I knew in my Spirit exactly what he was saying, as God had already been speaking to me about some wonderful things in the past 2 weeks. Along with many other very encouraging and confirming words, he placed his watch into the palms of my hands and blessed me with a warm hug and a kiss on my forehead. I have never really had a father, nor a mentor, and neither am I looking for one...but all I can say is that this experience gave me a glimpse of what it may have felt like when Elijah placed his mantle on Elisha. It was not until today, two days after the conference, that I remembered that I still had the watch with me, in the pocket of the jacket I wore that night. So I gave it a good look and found it to be a pretty decent watch with a brand Im not familiar with in the line of familiar brands...though as a pen I know its pretty prestigious. Anyway, who cares about brands right?! Always by His grace and only for His glory! Watch or no watch, prophecy or no prophecy, all I have I live for Him, to do His will and to fulfil His purpose. Life is too short for anything else.
