A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner concerning the death of a child after he was found in a dam on a property east of Grafton yesterday. The child had been with his family on the property at Tucabia, about 25km east of Grafton, when he was noticed missing about 2.30pm (Monday 30 June 2014). Family members began searching the property and about 10 minutes later found the eight-year-old boy in a dam. CPR was initiated and continued until NSW Ambulance Paramedics arrived and took over. The child was taken to Grafton base Hospital but died a short time later.
