A run-down of Andrew Collins much anticipated book detailing the origins of the builders of Gobekli Tepe, the oldest known stone temple in the world. In the book, Collins provides evidence that these archaic peoples actually consisted of a special stock or separate branch of highly evolved human/Neanderthal hybrids that seeded the upper parts of central and Eastern Europe, which later colonized the lower regions of the Caucus mountains and Turkey, setting up the shamanic temple grounds of Gobekli Tepe to civilize the surrounding hunter-gatherers in the area. Collins points to the evidence and origins of the advanced paleolithic culture as the Shamanic Swiderians, a group of very tall, albino skinned geniuses amongst the more primitive stone age cultures possessing large elongated craniums, acting as the legendary builder gods remembered in various mid-east traditions as the giants, the Watchers, or the half-breed offspring known as the Nephilim. Collins believes the oldest generations and original ancestors of these people, the Watchers, the tallest, possessing naturally elongated larger craniums/brains, actually consisted of what is now known as the older Gravettians c. 30,000 B.C. in much of central and eastern Europe. These Watchers were also remembered as the immortals, long-lived humans that I think might have some genetic relation to the immortals that are recalled in Taoist mysticism and legends which were popularly believed to have inhabited the western deserts of China and the immortal isles amidst the Bohai sea off the coast of what is modern Beijing. One of the legendary Taoist immortals, inhabited a certain star, Canopus, in Chinese folklore, named Shoulao, the god of longevity, which is popularly depicted in art and sculpture as a very tall man with a large, elongated dome-like cranium holding a staff. Could there possibly have been a similar race of evolved, very tall humans that inhabited various places all over the world, including China that naturally lived much longer than normal homo sapiens?
