A schoolboy has been beaten to death by his playmates at Mirpur in Dhaka.Family of deceased Mehedi Hasan, 15, on Tuesday claimed that a clash over playing games led to the deadly incident. Mehedi, son of trader Mohammad Mosharraf, was a Class X student Mirpur Bangla High School. He was residing with his family at House 14 Road 10 of C-Block at Mirpur-11. Mehedis uncle MA Latif complained that Mehedis playmate and neighbour Oli came and took him to their House 16 after maghrib prayers [evening set in] on Tuesday. One of the neighbours said a few persons beat up Mehedi at the fifth floor of the block of flats where Olis were used to live in.The attackers took Mehedi to Mirpur Islami Bank Hospital as he fell unconscious.Later, Mehedis family, after getting information, took him to Dhaka MedicalCollege and Hospital at about 7:30pm.The doctors, however, declared him dead at about 9:00pm.Pallabi police sub-inspector Monirul Islam said Mehedis body had finger prints and its neck was broken.Dhaka Metropolitan Police Pallabi zoneassistant commissioner, Kamal Hossain, said they were trying to catch the killers
