A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until at least 10 p.m. for parts of Central Texas, including southeastern Hays County, Caldwell County and northeastern Guadalupe County, according to the National Weather Service. The storms could produce destructive hail, damaging winds in excess of 60 mph, and lightning, forecasters said.
