A sky of three parts... The east plays host to an unbroken, - TopicsExpress

A sky of three parts... The east plays host to an unbroken, featureless expanse of pale, almost pink grey, while the mid sky holds a stretch of darker, almost charcoal grey, crossed by inkier shadows that scamper and scurry their way eastwards in a pell mell tumbled jumble, and meanwhile, from the west comes a fractured, crumbling area of pale grey, laced with creamy cotton wool clumps that part here and there to reveal the pale morning turquoise of the infinity beyond... All of these patterns are moving at a fair old clip, driven by a fast, high wind that changes the entire skyscape in a matter of minutes, rendering my humble observation more or less redundant... That wind high above doesnt seem to be troubling the earth here below too much - only an occasional flurry to ruffle the leafy greenerys feathers - which is something of a mercy, because its none too warm outside, despite those turquoise patches of morning sky... That lonely crow is about - hes just flapped his way across the gardens below, his flight jagged and uneven as he twists and turns in one of those wind flurries to keep him on course for the line of horse chestnuts away to the east... I wonder if those birds sometimes crash into a tree on days like this... Hope not - Ive never seen it happen yet... Just at this moment, the clouds directly above me have rolled apart to reveal a luxurious expanse of ever deepening blue, although theyre way off course to let any of old sols rays through - still, it promises a day not entirely dominated by grey... have a good one, people! :¬}
